Uekusa Toun
Toun Uekusa is a renowned woodcarver and Buddhist sculptor based in Yokohama. He presides over the "Toun Traditional Woodcarving Techniques Association," which aims to preserve and pass on traditional woodcarving techniques. In addition to creating sculptures of Buddhist statues, animals, and figures, he also serves as an instructor for Buddhist statue courses at the Japan Art Education Center, among other places.

Naohiro Uekusa is a renowned jewelry designer based in Yokohama. Born in Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture in 1974. In 2000, he learned wood carving from his father, Touun, a wood sculptor, and after producing carved wooden netsuke, he established the design studio Show-N's Creation.
