Manmaru Hotoke (Large) | One-of-a-kind, hand-carved by a Buddhist sculptor from Kiso Hinoki cypress

This Buddha statue was created not as an object of worship, but as "a Buddha you can talk to," someone you can feel closer to. It was made for the purpose of touching and speaking to, rather than praying to, in the hope that it will casually bring healing to your heart. It depicts a child clasping their hands in prayer in front of their face, and is meticulously crafted from carefully selected cypress wood, with every detail from the spherical shape to the facial features carved solely with a chisel. Furthermore, a natural crystal is used between the eyebrows to represent the "urna" (white hair curl), symbolizing the Buddha.
